Community Education welcomes you back to school and to another exciting season of classes. Many of their classes are underway, with more starting in the coming weeks.
They are also getting ready for their first-ever, weeklong open house, from Sept. 28 to Oct. 2. You are welcome to visit their classes with no fee. No registration is necessary. Meet their instructors, see their facilities and learn about what is right here in your community.
This is a wonderful opportunity to join a fitness class. They have Aerobics, Zumba, Contemporary Dance, Ballet, Standing Vinyasa Yoga, Body Workout, Movement For Those With Parkinson’s and more. Try your hand at some fine arts and crafts. You may find your inner artist in pottery, stone sculpting, painting, drawing, pastels, printmaking, jewelry making, or silversmithing. Perhaps you’d like to experience the foreign languages they offer: Chinese, French, Hebrew, Italian, Spanish or Yiddish. Learn Bridge, Canasta, or Mah-Jongg, or participate in a writing class or a book group. So many possibilities await you.
The schedule of classes for the open house is available on their website, as well as on their Facebook page. A schedule can be emailed to you if you call the Community Ed office at 516-441-4940. Remember to “Like” them on Facebook. You can find them by searching Great Neck Community Ed and clicking on the “Like” button. Please feel free to invite your friends to visit and like them as well.
