The Mineola Golden Age Club held its first meeting of the new season on Sept. 17. Members were very happy to greet one another and catch up on the summer’s happenings.
While many members meet at the pool or at Funday Mondays, others do not see one another as they are busy with other pursuits. The club welcomed a banner number of new members this year, and many members stayed after the meeting to play bingo.
New members are Anthony and Patricia Bancone, Roe DiBenedetto, Trudy Johnson, Kenny Carp, Regina Carson, Joyce Lella, Judy Mahoney, Henry and Nancy Rajkowski, Carol Scordo, Ada Ruggiero, Rosemarie Palminteri, Leonard and Laura Bernstein and Patricia Hutter.
