Currently in its second year, all three elementary schools in the Plainedge School District will be utilizing the Olweus Bullying Prevention Program with students.
The program is designed to create positive changes in students’ behavior and in the school climate so students feel safe, are ready to learn and can achieve academic success.
Pictured are kindergarten students in Christine Colvin’s class at Eastplain Elementary. They are holding up squares they designed about the theme of friendship, which will come together to form a quilt. The activity served to kickoff the school’s program for the year.
