Movie: McFarland USA
The Bar Harbour library will show a 1:30 and 6:30 p.m. screening of the movie McFarland USA in the children’s room. Based on a true story of underdogs triumphing over tremendous obstacles, this heartwarming drama follows novice runners who strive to build a cross-country team under Coach Jim White (Kevin Costner). Everyone has a lot to learn about each other, but when White realizes the boys’ exceptional running ability, things change. Beyond their talent, it’s the power of family, commitment to each other and work ethic that transform them into champions. Starring Kevin Costner and Maria Bello (2015; PG, 2 hrs 10 mins).
