New York Met fever is sweeping Long Island and the next stop is the Theodore Roosevelt Executive and Legislative Building in Mineola.
On Monday, Oct. 26, beginning at 5 p.m., a big, pre-World Series rally will be held at the legislative building, at 1550 Franklin Ave.
Mangano’s office said the dome of the building will be lit in Met blue and that former Met players will also be hand to rally the faithful. Mangano’s office did not disclose the names of the former Met stars, but fans will be thrilled to be reaquainted with players from the team’s storied past.
Met fans, Mangano’s office added, are encouraged to wear Met caps and jerseys and if they want, paint their faces in Met blue and orange.
