Manhasset Community Club Floral Delite

At the recent Manhasset Community Club Day meeting, it was bitter cold outdoors but it was springtime indoors as the guest of the day was Theresa Soto of “Flowers by Voegler” from Merrick. Soto not only designed a beautiful basket of flowers but afterwards invited two members to join her in creating their own pieces. They were ecstatic, for they drew upon talents unknown and designed a beautiful topiary floral piece, which they took home. It was a very pleasant afternoon enjoyed by all.
The Manhasset Community Club is a nonprofit organization that awards two scholarships each year to worthy students, one from Manhasset High School and one from St. Mary’s College Preparatory School of Manhasset, as well as supporting local charities.
The club meets every third Tuesday of the month at the Church of Our Savior Lutheran in Manhasset from noon to 3 p.m. For more information call 516-627-1187.
