Ms. Krawciw’s Pre-K classes recently collected 100 cans of food to celebrate the 100th Day of School. This idea was to help the children become aware of the number 100, but also show how easy and fun it can be to help those in need.
The can drive also helped instill some of Mineola’s mission statement; contributing positively to a global society to the children. Each child in the a.m. and p.m. classes was asked to bring in three cans of food. On the 100th Day of School, Ms. Krawciw’s classes collected 123 cans. The cans collected will be donated to families in need at Hampton Street School.
