When the students of Syosset High School first began rehearsing for their four-day production of Les Misérables, fans of the school’s productions could not wait to get their hands on tickets to see this extraordinary display of talent. The students of Syosset High School always put on a show that is second to none among schools—including colleges and universities at a fraction of the price—and never fails to deliver a night of magical entertainment.
Under the direction of Peter Haughwout and Craig Mooers, the student-built stage designs for Syosset High School plays alone are not worth missing and the actors are equally impressive as well. Under the direction of Gene Connor and Kristin Howell, the talent and dedication of these young thespians should not be missed by any fan of theater and those who come to support the growing and young thespian community. The orchestra, conducted by Laurence Ballereau, will be what ties this production together as their music always evokes the emotions of the viewer. This show promises to be one that truly showcases the incredible devotion to the arts in the high school and community.
The shows kick off on Thursday, March 10, at 7 p.m. and continue through Friday, March 11, at 7:30 p.m.; Saturday, March 12, at 7:30 p.m.; and Sunday, March 13, at 2 p.m. Tickets will be available for purchase at the door for $15.
