Cub Scout Pack 590 held its annual Blue and Gold Banquet at American Legion Post 1066 in Massapequa.
The pack presented plaques and gifts to Assistant Cubmaster and Den Leader Bob Clark and Assistant Den Leader Stephanie Friedman, who will be leaving the pack as their sons will now move on to the Boy Scouts.
“Along with the Pinewood Derby, the Blue and Gold is one of the highlights of the scouting year,” said Cubmaster Bill Leisen. “We get to have a lot of fun and honor our scouts who earned rank, as well as the parents who worked so hard throughout the year. I’d like to especially congratulate our second-year Webelos who earned their Arrow of Light awards, the highest award a cub scout can earn—Brian, Billy, Willis, Blake, Sean and Dylan. Well done gentlemen.”
The pack also thanked their sponsoring organization, American Legion Post 1066 and its commander, Greg Greene.
“Without Greg Greene and the post, this day would not be possible, thank you for your continued support,” said Leisen.
