The Port Washington Lions Club welcomes everyone to its annual Pancake Breakfast on Sunday, April 10, at the Flower Hill Hose Co., 18 Haven Ave., from 8 a.m. to noon. This event brings together community residents of all ages for good food, fellowship and fun.
The Pancake Breakfast is hosted to raise money for charitable purposes, primarily, but not solely, within the Port Washington community. The Lions Club places particular emphasis on assisting individuals with vision loss. The Port Lion’s Club also raises funds for the Guide Dog Foundation for the Blind, the Lions Eye Bank for Long Island, assisting those with hearing loss, eyeglass donation programs, donating to food banks, cancer-related activities, youth activities and providing yearly scholarships for high school students. Every dollar raised by the club goes toward community needs or to international crisis events.
Breakfast tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children. Children under three years old are free. Pancakes and fresh omelets will be served.
There will be music, a silent auction, a raffle and face painting.
