The Congregational Church of Manhasset (UCC) will hold its Annual Spring Retreat on Saturday, April 9, 2016. The topic of this year’s retreat, Experiencing God Through Meditation , will be led by Manhasset resident, Rev. Maureen C. Kessler. Rev. Kessler was ordained as a Minister in 2001 at The Congregational Church.
Central to the message of the Bible is the promise of peace which results from a personal relationship with God. Yet, amidst the conflict and stress of living in today’s world, we often find it difficult to establish and maintain a connection with God’s quiet presence in our lives. Please join us as we joyfully explore simple and diverse methods of meditation which can lead us to a deeper experience of God’s peace.
Everyone is welcome to attend, members and non-members alike. Admission is free. The day will begin with a continental breakfast at 8:30 a.m. and will conclude at 12:00 noon. While walk-ins are welcome, we need an approximate number of attendees for planning purposes. Please call Valerie McDermott at the Church office (516-627-4911, Ext. 103) if you plan to attend. The Church is located at 1845 Northern Boulevard in Manhasset (across from the Apple Store). For more information call Rev. Jimmy Only at the church or visit www.uccmanhasset.org.
