Make a Dream Catcher
Come to the ITPL from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. in the community room and make a dream catcher. Linda Reilly will be showing you the step by step instructions, and together with a lot of beads and feathers and ribbons, you will take home a one of a kind dream catcher that you made. YA Grade 5-12.

Pokémon Meet Up
Calling all Pokémon fans! Bring your 3DS for an afternoon of fun. This is not an official Pokémon event but will feature competitive double-battle gameplay against fellow trainers. Each player must bring a well-charged 3DS and copy of Pokémon Omega Ruby, Alpha Sapphire or X and Y. From 3:30 to 5 p.m. at the LPL.

Beach Glass and Bead Necklace
Join Linda Reilly and have some fun making this colorful glass bead necklace you can wear all summer long. Must register. $8 fee. From 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the LPL.

Saturday, May 21

Vernissage
Local artists will exhibit their work in the Dolores M. Morehouse Community Room through June 16. Come to the ITPL and discover the artwork of your community. Refreshments served. From 1 to 5 p.m.

Drive Thru Shredding
Quality Shredding will provide a shredding truck from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. The truck will be available in the ITPL library parking lot. $5 per bag/box of documents and $10 for three bags/boxes of documents. All proceeds benefit the ITPL.

Chess
Learn to play chess from a member of the Long Island Industrial Chess League. Experienced players are also welcome. $8 for 8 classes. Contact Marilyn Adamo at 516-731-2211 or email madamo@islandtreespubliclibrary.org for information. From 10 a.m to noon in the community room at the ITPL.

Come and make a carrot patch you can eat. Some items may contain chocolate and traces of peanut oil. No cooking is involved. Choose between 6 p.m. or 7:30 p.m. session. Must register.

The Humor of Judge Judy
Marjorie Gottlieb Wolfe the author of Yiddish for Dog and Cat Lovers will deliver her humorous and entertaining talk about one of TV’s most famous judges at 2 p.m. at the LPL. No registration required.
