Island Trees Passes Budget

“The budget passed with 81 percent support from the community,” said Island Trees Superintendent Charles Murphy of the May 17 budget vote. “We are grateful to haveIT_logoA such supportive residents in Island Trees.”

The board of education was also pleased with the results.

“The board would like to extend our sincerest thanks to the community for their recent school budget support. Island Trees is indeed a very special place,” said members in a unanimous quote. “Annually, our residents come out to the polls to vote “yes” in support of our school programs and services. We will continue to work with our community stakeholders to achieve excellence and success for all of our students. Thank you again for your support.”

For the last two years, the Island Trees board of education and community has enhanced the overall school experience for students, balanced with affordability for taxpayers.
