Ladies Philanthopic Lunch

PlandomeHeight_051816AThe Plandome Heights Women’s Club hosted its annual Spring Philanthropic Luncheon on April 13 at the Port Washington Yacht Club to benefit the National Foundation of Ectodermal Dysplasia. In honor of the event, Town of North Hempstead Supervisor Judi Bosworth presented a proclamation declaring a day of special recognition throughout the Town of North Hempstead for the Plandome Heights Women’s Club.
The program also included guest speaker Christine Borzell, natural food chef and culinary nutrition specialist, who shared her insights on eating real foods for a healthy lifestyle, and a presentation on the wonderful opportunities provided by the National Foundation for Ectodermal Dysplasia for the children and families affected with this disease.
A large turnout of club members and friends enjoyed great food and shopping. Numerous baskets and prizes, created by PHWC ladies and committee members, included a gorgeous Kate Spade bag, a destination vacation to Florida and a gorgeous copy of a Manhasset scene painted by Grace Heske. “We would like to thank all those individuals and merchants who gave so generously of their time, as well as their fabulous donations. It was a beautiful day, which could not have happened without all your generous efforts,” concluded Philanthropic Chairs Annette Morrissey and Kate Tracy.
