The MacArthur High School string orchestra and concert choir attended the annual Music in the Parks competition at Six Flags New England held in Agawam, Massachusetts on May 13 and 14. Under the baton of Lisa Levenberg and Iris Winter, respectively, the concert choir placed fourth with an Excellent Rating, and the string orchestra placed first with an Excellent Rating, as well as the Best Overall Orchestra Award.
“Not only did the 87 student-musicians performed amazingly, their overall behavior and morale were notably outstanding,” said Winter.
