I am not one who would normally be involved in publicly endorsing an individual, but considering how dismayed I am on how matters are being handled within the Village of Manorhaven, I truly feel Ken Kraft would be a very positive and active trustee for us. Kraft grew up in Manorhaven and upon his return to the village, he is quite upset/dismayed regarding its condition—fiscally and physically. Kraft has been very active in suggesting quality-of-life issues to our current village board members. He not only regularly attends meetings but he is down at the village hall at least twice a week nudging them on current issues. Remember the term “like a dog with a bone?” Well, that is Kraft, and he will keep addressing an issue until it is rectified.
Being a lifelong resident of Port Washington and a homeowner in Manorhaven since 1975, I have strong ties to our waterfront community. I realize the village has had its ups and downs, but at this moment, we need someone such as Kraft to help us regain the respect we duly deserve from the rest of the Port Washington community. —Angela McGrade
