I am running for trustee for the Village of Manorhaven as an independent candidate with the Proactive Party and have been walking the streets of our village introducing myself to our residents. During the past weeks, I have received a lot of feedback from many of these residents regarding previous Mayor Gary Pagano, who served our village in the ’90s. A lot of residents stated that he was probably one of the most proactive mayors over the past 20 years who actually made an effort through code enforcement to improve the condition of homes and commercial properties throughout the village. I have met many residents while I was renovating my home who complimented me on my efforts to improve the condition of my home while at the same time expressing their dissatisfaction with the deplorable conditions of other unkempt homes in our village. For this reason as well as the preservation of our remaining waterfront, I would endorse Gary Pagano and Barbara Ruemenapp of the Above Board Party for mayor and trustee of the Village of Manorhaven. This is a critical time to support those candidates who really care about our village and who have roots in our community—Manorhaven—Port’s downtown waterfront community.
