Manhasset Bay is the quaint scene to view osprey. The birds enjoy the local fish.

The osprey returns from parts south to begin nesting; they very often use human-made nesting platforms as seen scattered all along the coastline. The massive stick nests that sit atop the platform are impossible to miss; they are repaired by the osprey and built up over the years.
