Dolan Jones, a recent MacArthur High School graduate, received the prestigious U.S. Lacrosse Bob Scott Award. This award recognizes a player who goes above and beyond in service to his team, school and community, and who exemplifies the fundamentals of lacrosse through hard work and leadership on and off the field. Dolan will continue his sport at Roger Williams University this fall.
Bob Scott was the head lacrosse coach for the Johns Hopkins University Blue Jays men’s lacrosse team from 1955-74, having compiled a career record of 158 wins and seven national championships. He was also named the U.S. Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association National Coach of the Year and was an All-American midfielder on the Johns Hopkins University and National Championship team. Scott also wrote the first edition of Lacrosse: Technique and Tradition, considered today as the ultimate guide to lacrosse. He was inducted into the National Lacrosse Hall of Fame in 1977.
The Levittown School District congratulates Dolan on this outstanding athletic accomplishment and wishes him continued success in his sport.
