July is National Culinary Month, and each year, Atria Senior Living communities across the country compete with local chefs in a cooking showdown. Once again, Atria invited Northwell Health Systems Plainview Hospital chef Carole Hilly.

“It’s amazing how much you can do with watermelon. We had a great variety of dishes, including watermelon coconut marshmallow parfait, watermelon ice, watermelon brisket roll, watermelon salsa, watermelon citrus feta supreme and pan seared shrimp with watermelon sauce,” according to Atria. —Herald Staff
