Final 2016 Plaza Promenade Night Cancelled

Savanah SkyUpdate: The final Middle Neck Road Promenade Night, which was cancelled on Aug. 10 due to inclement weather and rescheduled for Wednesday, Sept. 14, was just cancelled.

The Village of Great Neck Plaza’s next event will be the 32nd Annual Autofest/Street Festival, on Sunday, Oct. 16, from 12 to 5 p.m., with a rain date on Sunday, Oct. 23.

Guests were going to be able to listen to the country sounds of Savannah Sky while enjoying a variety of fine-dining options in an outdoor café setting under the stars as the Great Neck Plaza Business Improvement District (BID) and the Village of Great Neck Plaza concluded the Summer 2016 Promenade Series on Middle Neck Road between Grace Avenue and Maple Drive from 6:30 to 10:30 p.m.

Delighting audiences throughout the tristate area for more than 20 years, Savannah Sky plays a variety of music from genres including rock, blues, jazz, folk and bluegrass, focusing on traditional country, western swing and rockabilly music. Band members Nina Gordon on vocals and acoustic guitar; Skip Krevens on vocals, electric guitar and pedal steel; Pete Falbo on vocals and bass; and Billy Lang on vocals and percussion have a vivacious stage presence that results in a unique and exciting show.
