The Island Trees High School Marching Band, under the direction of Greg Warnokowski, got a head start on their half time show during the August summer band camp. The student upperclassmen officers worked with the freshman class on basic marching skills and rehearsed the music together. The drum section, led by advisor Jerry Nobile, worked out their new “street beat” and rehearsed all the new songs with the band. The band is excited to present their “Funk” show which includes hit titles “Brick House,” “Play That Funky Music” and “Uptown Funk.”
The band will be performing at all home football games and at the Newsday Marching Band Festival at Mitchel Field on Wednesday, Oct. 19. Good luck to the Island Trees High School Marching Bulldogs.
