Westbury Teen Killed in Crash

A 19-year-old man was killed when he crashed his vehicle in his hometown of Westbury over the weekend.

Nassau County police said Quentin Abram was driving a Toyota southbound on Merrick Avenue at a high rate of speed when he crossed into the opposite lane of traffic and struck a tree at 8:35 a.m. Sunday.

The victim was taken to a local hospital, where he died. He was driving alone.

Third Squad detectives impounded the vehicle, found no apparent criminality and are continuing the investigation.
