Pink Out Pumpkins

B

Decorated with colorful ribbon, bright colored paint and jeweled accessories, 35 orange pumpkins were transformed into artwork by members of MacArthur High School’s National Art Honor Society in Levittown. Under the direction of adviser Tammy Mayer, the art students leant their artistic talents to decorate their gourds to benefit the Susan G. Komen Foundation’s breast cancer research and support efforts.

The pumpkins each sold for $10 and assisted in the school’s overall annual Pink Out efforts, which included a volleyball and football game on Oct. 13 and 14, respectively.
