The ladies of Strathmore Vanderbilt Country Club were gathered together on Dec. 9 to kick off the festivities with a delightful surprise. The event which is hosted by the Strathmore Vanderbilt Women’s Club was decorated and themed by Saks Fifth Avenue.
The luxury retailer who caters to the rich and famous has a flagship store on Fifth Avenue in New York and a newly renovated store in Huntington on Long Island is available to come directly to the shopper with its exclusive fashion line. The Saks Fifth Avenue store manager was on hand to greet guests and speak about the services provided and how Sakes will travel to your home, hotel and office. This new way of retailing was pleasing to the ladies who shop as they enjoyed gathering together for a Christmas cocktail and splurge on beautiful furs, jewelry and cosmetics for their loved ones. Tone Burrows, Strathmore Vanderbilt Women’s Club president warmly greeted friends and neighbors as well as her committee members. The luncheon is a big tradition at the club and Taalikki came back to enjoy the event. The ladies enjoyed the event and received a lovely parting gift from Saks Fifth Avenue in their signature gift bags.
