Join local and national employers on April 13 from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. for a hiring fair for veterans, military service members, guard, reserve and military spouses at the Armed Forces Reserve Center (25 Baiting Place Rd. in Farmingdale).
Jobs will be available for all ranks and levels of experience. A free employment workshop for job seekers featuring resume building, networking and interview tips will begin at 8:30 a.m.
The U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s “Hiring Our Heroes” event is sponsored locally by the New York National Guard, Farmingdale Chamber of Commerce, NY National Guard Family Programs, Suffolk County Veteran’s Service Agency, NYS Department of Labor, the Employer Support of the Guard & Reserve (ESGR), the U.S. Department of Labor Veterans Employment and Training Service (DOL VETS), U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, The American Legion and NBC News.
