Suffolk County police are investigating an armed home invasion in which a man was assaulted in Bayport on Friday night, authorities said.
Two masked men, one of whom was armed with a handgun, confronted a 33-year-old man as he entered his Cinque Lane home and pushed their way inside at 9 p.m., police said.
The victim, who fell down the stairs and was struck in the head, was taken to Stony Brook University Hospital for treatment of a broken leg and arm.
The suspects fled the scene with cash. There were no arrests and no description of the suspects.
Fifth Squad detectives are continuing the investigation.
