A 90-year-old woman was killed in a car crash in her hometown of Hicksville on Friday afternoon.
Nassau County police said Marie Capelli was driving a Hyundai Suburban when her vehicle was hit head-on by a southbound Toyota at the corner of South Oyster Bay Road and Old Country Road at 2 p.m.
The victim was taken to Nassau University Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead. The other driver was treated for non-life threatening injuries.
Detectives impounded both vehicles and are continuing the investigation but do not suspect any criminality.
