Inaugural Meeting Planned for Monday, May 15 at Sid Jacobson JCC in Greenvale
Adam Haber has continually fought against the fraud and misconduct that has infested the Long Island political system at all levels of government. In response to this pervasive corruption, Mr. Haber has formed “Route 25: A Progressive Grassroots Club.” The group will meet for the first time on Monday, May 15, from 7 to 9 p.m. at Sid Jacobson JCC in Greenvale.
According to Mr. Haber: “The mission of Route 25 is to inform, organize and encourage Nassau County residents to actively participate in the democratic process, and to work to elect public officials who support and represent progressive ideals.” Launched last week, Route 25 is already finding support from other members of the Democratic Party, such as United States Congresswoman Kathleen Rice, representative for New York’s Fourth District, in Nassau County.
Congresswoman Rice will kick off Route 25’s inaugural meeting at 7 p.m. with a presentation about the current state of politics in her region. An open forum, led by Mr. Haber, will follow.
“Route 25 is receiving a great response on Facebook, where our initial launch took place,” explains Mr. Haber. “Given the sad state of politics at the local, state and federal levels, we think it’s the perfect time for people from across Nassau County to get involved and help make a change. I look forward to our May 15 inaugural meeting, and I extend a special ‘thank you’ to Congresswoman Rice for her support of our mission.”
