A 28-year-old Rockville Centre man was fatally hit by an SUV while crossing a road in Baldwin on Saturday night.

Nassau County police said Jhanny Infante was crossing Sunrise Highway when he was struck by an eastbound Nissan Rogue at the corner of Central Avenue 9:45 p.m.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

Homicide Squad detectives impounded the truck and are continuing the investigation but consider the crash to be non-criminal.
