Long Island’s oldest pizzerias
For any business, or pizzeria for that matter, to stay open for 40, 60 or even for nearly 80 years, they must be doing something right.
We could say that some hot spots on Long Island have been open even longer if you consider that many owners moved from Brooklyn and Manhattan or even came directly from an established restaurant in Italy. While this list certainly does not include all of the pizzerias that are in the running for longest established on both sides of the county lines, it’s a pretty good idea of some of the favorites among locals.
Notably, Suffolk pie makers are significantly younger, some by as much as 30 years.
