Italia Vera, the ultimate Italian lifestyle festival, will debut at NYCB LIVE, home of the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum, for one day only on Saturday, Sept. 9. This brand-new flagship event was created by renowned restaurateur, TV personality and Eataly co-owner Joe Bastianich in partnership with IMG. General admission and limited VIP tickets are on sale now.
This unique indoor and outdoor event will put guests right in the heart of Italy to enjoy all that makes the country and its culture great, including delectable food and wine, luxury automobiles, cutting-edge fashion and innovative home design. Italia Vera will bring a real Italian experience to Long Island.
“There’s no passport required, but a ticket to Italia Vera is a ticket to Italy and a chance for everyone to live la dolce vita for a day,” said event founder Joe Bastianich. “This festival, which offers the finest of everything Italian in one location, has been a dream of mine, and I look forward to bringing this special new event to Long Island for Italian aficionados to enjoy.”
Italia Vera will transform the newly renovated Coliseum into an Italian oasis, providing guests with the ultimate experience of Italy. Guests can enjoy samples from a bevy of regional Italian food and celebrated wines from leading brands including Eataly, Rossopomodoro, Marcelli Formaggi and Grana Padano. Acclaimed chefs Dave Pasternack, Cesare Casella, Billy Gallagher and Emmy Award-winning television host Lidia Bastianich will also be in attendance.
There’s something for everyone at Italia Vera, from vintage Italian automobiles and virtual reality driving experiences featuring today’s finest Italian cars to live Italian music and hands-on culinary experiences focused on pizza, pasta, olive oil, espresso and more.
High quality craftsmanship and a chic sense of style have long been Italian hallmarks, and the country’s leading fashion, kitchen, lighting, and furniture design will all be on display at Italia Vera. Guests can explore showrooms featuring state-of-the-art Italian home décor brands, pop-up boutiques showcasing the latest fashions, and work stations highlighting master shoe craftsmen at work.
Italia Vera takes place Saturday, Sept. 9 at NYCB LIVE, home of the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum, from 12:30 to 9 p.m. with two sessions beginning at 12:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m, respectively.

General admission tickets are $79, which includes access to more than 50 Italian wines and beers. Tickets are only $9 for anyone under 21 years of age. The Ford Parking Lot will open two hours in advance of doors opening for an event, and parking passes can be purchased online at Ticketmaster.com.
