Six students from Manhasset were named semifinalists in the local Siemens Competition in Math, Science & Technology and were honored by Town of North Hempstead board members at Town Hall. Semifinalists included Tiffeny Chen, Fred Chu, Boakun Gu, Stephen Lee, William Peng and Susan Wu. The Siemens Competition in Math, Science & Technology was established by the Siemens Foundation in 1999, and is one of the nation’s premiere science research competitions for high school students.
