The Manhasset Memorial Day Parade is an exciting way to pay tribute to this meaningful holiday dedicated to our armed forces. Whether you are nine months old or 90 years old, this event is one not to miss. Sponsored by the American Legion Post 304, the Manhasset Memorial Day Parade and ceremony is dedicated to remembering Vietnam.
The parade begins promptly at 10 a.m. on Monday, May 28, and runs down the heart of Manhasset on Plandome Road. Come out to see more than 25 organizations and six bands scheduled to march. The parade will include more than 20 trucks from the Manhasset-Lakeville and Plandome Fire Departments.
The route of the parade will be along Plandome Road, beginning at Plandome Court to Memorial Place, with excellent public viewing along the entire length. Those planning to march in the parade are expected to be present, ready to march, in their designated assembly areas no later than 9:30 a.m.
