After months of planning, Our Lady of Grace Montessori School celebrated its 50th Anniversary this spring at the de Seversky Mansion in Glen Head. Generations of families, some of whom have been a part of the school for the last five decades, came together with the teachers, staff and the Sisters of Immaculate Heart of Mary to celebrate the milestone. The 50th Gala was part of a year-long celebration including creating a commemorative rock garden.
Highlights of the evening included speeches from past and present principals, a heartfelt video, an exciting live auction, the drawing of a 50/50 raffle and the extraordinary Trip of a Lifetime raffle where one lucky winner won an all-expense paid trip to Italy. A commemorative journal was distributed at the event and served as a keepsake for those who wanted to share special memories and well wishes. The legacy of Our Lady of Grace Montessori School is built upon the love and support that families and friends have poured into it since its beginning.
