The Illustrious Coast

Artist portrayals of the North Shore through art

American artist Edward Hopper once said, “If I could say it in words there would be no reason to paint.” While authors such as F. Scott Fitzgerald and Ernest Hemingway found their own words in novels to depict the beauty of the Gold Coast, others have found another pathway to beauty in art and painting.

Several local artists have drawn inspiration from the world outside their own front door. The following works of art have been featured in Trapani Art & Frame gallery, which specializes in fine art, custom mirrors and expert picture framing.
