Celebrate Halloween With Spooky Fest At Tanglewood Preserve

SpookyFest AThe 2018 Spooky Fest presented by The Center for Science Teaching and Learning (CSTL) will celebrate Halloween this season with an exciting event with all levels of fright for the whole family. For a younger children there is a “Not-So-Spooky Walk” through the forest, a kid’s arts and crafts area and meet and greet with merry monsters. For guests seeking more of a thrill, there is a walk through the haunted woods, maze of zombies and other heart racing activities.

Spooky Fest 2018 takes place at Nassau County’s Tanglewood Preserve at 1450 Tanglewood Rd., Rockville Centre, on Oct. 19, 20, 21, 26, 27 and 28 the event takes place from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. each evening, rain or shine. Tickets can be purchased at the gate for $10 for non-spooky attractions only; $15 for all-inclusive attractions including both scary and non-scary.

For the event The Tanglewood Preserve’s 16 acres are transformed into a unique family friendly, Halloween event, with all proceeds going towards CSTL’s programs and facilities which focus on educating young people about science. The organization’s mission is to encourage science learning and literacy.

“Now in its 7th year Spooky Fest has become a family tradition and we encourage members of the Long Island community to attend and enjoy,” said Dr. Ray Ann Havasy of the Center for Science Teaching and Learning. “Tanglewood Preserve offers a unique experience unlike any other Halloween attraction or event on Long Island.”

The Center for Science Teaching and Learning (CSTL) is a nonprofit organization with a mission of encouraging science learning and literacy.
