Raising The Steaks

LongHorn 14Among everything Long Island’s Route 110 has to offer, its latest addition takes the steak, yes, the steak.

LongHorn Steakhouse held its “lasso cutting” ceremony as it officially opened its doors to the public on Tuesday, Nov. 6. With hundreds of locations nationwide, even some around the world, the Farmingdale restaurant is the first of its kind on Long Island, outside of the five boroughs.

At nearly 5,600 square-feet, the steakhouse will host more than 200 guests to enjoy a full-service bar and a unique menu of eight steak cuts, six signature seasoning blends and a plethora of hand-made tasty goodness like their sauces, Steakhouse Mac & Cheese and Firecracker Chicken Wraps.

Decorated to provide guests with an authentic ranch vibe, steer heads, hand-painted vases, saddles and scenic paintings of western landscapes decorate the wood- and stone-paneled space.

“If you look at the different pictures on the wall, it paints a picture of who we are as a brand,” said Managing Partner George Rivera. “That’s the story of what we do here. We try to have things you’d find in a rancher’s home.”

Should you want to try LongHorn Steakhouse, their specialties and most popular dishes will not disappoint.
