On Thursday afternoon March 7, the Village of Lake Success was the scene of a rally by hospital staff and union employees protesting the New York State budget proposed Medicaid cuts.
Northwell Health President and CEO Michael Dowling joined union leaders and local politicians as hundreds of health care workers rallied Thursday in Lake Success to push back against significant health care cuts in New York State Governor Andrew Cuomo’s budget. 
The Greater New York Hospital Association and 1199SEIU are opposed to the proposed rollbacks in Medicaid increases that would significantly impact hospitals and nursing homes.
