Developing a comprehensive Communications Plan is one of the board of education’s goals for the current school year. One component of the plan is to increase the district’s outreach to our community by creating a cohesive social media presence. Twitter is a free micro-blog that provides principals and educators with the opportunity to share exciting happenings in the local public schools. The district is pleased to announce that the district and each of its nine schools is now on Twitter. Parents, students, and community members are welcome to join Twitter and to “follow” the district. Twitter is also available for mobile devices, so the latest news and announcements can be accessed directly from a user’s phone.
