By Executive Order of Governor Cuomo all New York State Village Elections have been rescheduled to Tuesday September 15.
During the interim period the current Trustees whose term was to expire March 31, are considered “holdovers” and can remain in office. The village is very fortunate that Deputy Mayor Ray Herbert, Trustee Andy Bartels and Trustee Greg Westfall have generously agreed to serve on the Board of Trustees until the Election.
The Village of Plandome will implement measures for increased safety and health of all voters, election inspectors, and staff to include the following:
- thorough wipe down and cleaning of all surfaces, doorknobs, sink faucets
- marked off areas to stage and pace for proper social distance between each voter
- single use pen for completing ballot
- provide tissues and hand sanitizer at each table station
As a refresher, the following slate of candidates that have been nominated by the Nominating Committee, Citizen’s Party of Plandome for three open Trustee positions. (bios can be found on Village website: www.villageofplandome.org) Petitions were filed in the Clerk’s office by Feb 11.
