Dear Residents,
Please be advised that the Village has been notified by the 6th Precinct that a “Juneteenth March for Educational Justice” is planned for Friday, June 19 at 4:30 p.m. The route of the march will begin at the Munsey Park School bus loading zone on Northern Blvd., then proceed up Northern Blvd to Plandome Road and end at Manhasset High School. In order to avoid dangerous crowding on our narrow local streets presented by cars parked on both sides of the road and to ensure the safe passage of emergency vehicles, the Village will be posting “No Parking” signs on one side of each of the nearby streets.
We ask you to please comply with these limited restrictions. Also, while we expect Northern Blvd. to remain open to traffic, in the event that travel on Northern Blvd is impaired, we are examining temporarily closing the entrances to the Village at Copley Road and Manhasset Woods Road to through-traffic to avoid congestion on our local residential streets by drivers seeking a cut-through to points west.
