Welcomes new members and distributes awards to Farmingdale High School seniors
Congratulations to the 2020-22 executive board of the Women’s Club of Farmingdale (WCF): Tina Diamond, president; Lynda Leone 1st vice president; Vicky Impollonia, 2nd vice president; Edie Allen, recording secretary; Judith Vasquez, corresponding secretary; Cathy Sewell, treasurer and Ann Lomonte, auditor.
The new board was installed outside on June 26 at Allen Park where members wore masks and social distanced. In addition, the WCF was delighted to welcome three new members, Theresa Gannon, Diane Getzelman and Eva Pearson. At this meeting, two long-standing members were presented with New York State Certificates for induction into the Order of the Rose and the State Honor Roll, Maria Ortolani and Ann Lomonte, respectively.
Several members are also volunteering their time in Albany by serving the General Federation of Women’s Clubs–New York State in various positions. They are Linda Kreussling, GFWC-New York State President; Tina Diamond, as chair of the President’s Special Project on Domestic Violence; Barbara Hoerner, New York State Chair of Photography Awards and Dolores Cianciabella, Island Metro District Chair for Creative Writing.
