Gift A Loving Pet Their Forever Home This Holiday

The holiday countdown has officially begun and bringing home a new pet this time of year is always a popular choice for many animal lovers. Please remember that adoption is a lifetime commitment, and the best gift you can give any one of these cats or dogs is a new forever home of their own.

Wolfie Copy
Wolfie

When Wolfie (Adoption #MA4404) greets you, she bounces across the room with such robust enthusiasm you’ll forget that she survived a recent fall from a high-rise window. This 1-year old daredevil lives her life to the fullest. From enjoying window views from the highest perch in her room in Bianca’s Furry Friends Feline Adoption Center, to climbing down those shelves to meet you at the door, Wolfie’s determination to explore new spaces and friendships makes her a delightful choice for any home setting. Be prepared to be inspired by her gleeful energy. Once you tuck Wolfie into your heart, you’ll never look at life the same again!

Mali Copy
Mali

Marvelous momma Mali (Adoption #WV0531) is ready to squish herself right into the empty spaces of your heart and quiet all the questions you ever had about adding a cat to your home. Relieved of her maternal duties, this robust 4-year old southern rescue is setting her sights on a future that includes a family to adore her and a home to explore. Mali could use some help losing the added weight she’s collected along her life’s journey, but she’s so attentive to visitors, we have a feeling she’ll exercise the lbs. right off with some voracious head bumps! Want to be the someone Mali’s been hoping for?

Jigsaw and Crossword Copy
Jigsaw and Crossword

*Double Adoption* 6-month olds Jigsaw (Adoption #H210896) and Crossword (Adoption #H210897) were puzzled when they first arrived in our care after fending for themselves on the local streets. Now settled into the safety of Bianca’s Furry Friends Feline Adoption Center, they’re working out a solution to their problem by people-watching and learning to trust. Crossword is already showing just how much ear rubs are appreciated while Jigsaw watches his buddy with avid interest. Together these two sleuths will solve their greatest puzzle: finding their way home—with you!

Corazon Copy
Corazon

Hola, Corazon (Adoption #PR00004)! This 1-year old’s heart is set on being the only pet in your home. That way, you can focus all of your attention on him! After traveling all the way from Puerto Rico, he’s earned himself a home that will spoil him rotten (which he makes so very easy to do.) You’ll be rubbing his enormous ears while he enthusiastically thanks you for being his hero. If your quiet home has children 8 years and older ready to follow this bubbly friend’s lead, Corazon will be the piece missing from your heart!

Magic Copy
Magic

Magic (Adoption #H209189) knows what it’s like to have once been someone’s pet, so he’s not hesitating a moment on finding his way into a home again. This enchanting 4-year-old boy is giving everything he’s got to bowl you over and plant himself into your heart—as if that very boopable pink nose isn’t enough to make you want to grab hold of him and carry him home. If you’re looking to add a spark of enchantment to your household, Magic is the cat to cast a spell on your heart!

pet adoption
Rocky

**Senior Alert** Meet the Smithtown Animal Shelter’s Pet of the Week, Rocky. This 12-14- year old sweetheart and his two siblings have recently lost their home when their dad sadly passed away. This sweet old fella deserves the chance to live out his days in a warm home with a loving family.  Rocky has significant arthritis and hearing loss. While Rocky does get along with his siblings, he should be the only pet in the house (if adopted without them). He adores being the object of attention and being around people. Everyone would love to see Rocky adopted or in a permanent foster home in time for the holidays. If you can help save Rocky, please call 631-360-7575 today for more information.

Calvin Copy
Calvin

**Special Request** Look into Calvin’s eyes — does your heart just break for him? You can just tell how sad and confused he must be. This sweet, 2-year old boy came to the shelter as a stray in November 2020, after being found by the police. He is a nervous dog, seemingly not knowing what to do with toys or attention. If staff had to guess, he probably spent most of his time alone, perhaps outside, and under-socialized with people. Calvin is friendly with other dogs and enjoys meeting them, although he probably doesn’t know how to play yet. Sadly, Calvin was adopted and after one day, not nearly enough time to adjust to his new environment with new people, he ended up being stabbed by the male of the home. It’s unfathomable as to what he did to warrant this, as there was no bite recorded. This truly baffles and saddens everyone, but thankfully he is recovered and is ready for his actually true, forever, loving home. If you are interested in adopting this sweet soul, please contact the shelter’s placement team at (516)785-5220 or email Adoption@tohmail.org, Foster@tohmail.org or Rescue@tohmail.org.

As always, thanks for reading and please remember to always adopt, never shop…pass it on!
