Walk down the snack aisle at your local supermarket or drugstore, and you’ll likely pass by something made by Hain Celestial. Based on Long Island for nearly 30 years, the international company has some of the most popular organic product brands in its portfolio.

Perhaps best known for its Terra vegetable chips and Celestial Seasonings tea, Hain Celestial is headquartered in Lake Success and has been on LI since its founding in 1993. The corporation manufactures and sells in North America, Europe, and India with the goal of bringing natural foods and personal care products to consumers at reasonable prices.

“Since its founding 28 years ago, Hain has been committed to offering a variety of healthier products that are accessible and affordable,” says JoAnn Murray, chief human resources officer at Hain Celestial Group Inc. “Over the past three years, Hain has undergone a transformation across all aspects of our global business to bring this vision to life with our consumers, customers, and employees.”

Some of Hain Celestial’s other brands include Alba Botanica skin and hair care products; Earth’s Best organic nutritional baby foods; and Sensible Portions, ParmCrisps, and Thinsters snacks. The company has many gluten-free and vegetarian options in its wheelhouse.

While its HQ is on Long Island, Hain Celestial outsources its manufacturing out of state and beyond. It has four manufacturing facilities in the United States, including in Pennsylvania, Colorado, and California, plus three in Canada, two in Germany, one in Austria, and one in India. The company’s products can be found in stores in more than 70 different countries.

“Hain Celestial has always believed that our company, brands, and products can be a force for good,” Murray says. “We continue to make progress on our environmental, sustainability, and social goals, ensuring we create a path to inspire a healthier planet, healthier products and healthier people.”

In recent years, Hain Celestial has developed its Healthier Way of Life initiative to ensure the corporation contributes to healthier products, healthier people, and a healthier planet, according to its website. It releases sustainability reports and has implemented an animal welfare policy. These documents, as well as a store locator to discover where to buy Hain Celestial’s products, can all be found on its website, hain.com.
