Adoption Lacey

Meet Lacey! Born October 2021, this sweet and gentle girl loves being pet and sitting on your lap . She enjoys cat-nip toy mice but most of all, a soft bristle brush. Lacey would love a home with sunny windows and a cat tree. This cat is curious and interested in what you are doing and will probably follow you around. She is looking for her purrfect match.

Adoption Doggy

You’re reading this right…this kitten’s name is Doggy! This handsome brown tabby with brown paw pads was rescued with his brother and sister and given his name by a 3-year-old. He began his foster experience worried about human contact but he has developed into an affectionate purr machine, who cries when he needs attention. Doggy is full of energy, always chasing his siblings and wrestling. He likes wand toys and anything dangling that he can bat around. Doggy will make an excellent addition to any home!

Adoption Calliope

Calliope is the sweetest, smallest little lady you will ever meet. She is the runt of her litter but she still has a big personality. This little girl is so friendly and very docile. Calliope sits politely and waits for her meals while looking up at you with the most loving eyes. Calliope loves treats and wand toys. She enjoys other cats and is very curious about the world around her. She’s the perfect little companion.

Adoption Windy

Introducing the spirited Windy! This remarkable pup was rescued from the brink of euthanasia in NYC, and despite his challenging start, he is bursting with a zest for life that is evident through his enthusiasm and tail wags. Windy’s social nature shines as he gets along famously with dogs of all sizes and ages, making him an ideal companion for another playful pup. His positive interactions with a cat under supervision suggest he could potentially share a home with feline friends as well. At just 1 year old and weighing around 60 lbs, Windy is a bundle of energy, embodying fun and vitality. He’s seeking a home where his zest for life can be embraced through continued basic training and ample exercise opportunities. If you’re ready to provide a loving and active environment for this charismatic pup, consider taking the first step by welcoming Windy into your home.

Kryptonite

Introducing Kryptonite! In the latter part of July 2023, Kryptonite’s life took a positive turn as she was rescued from the Euthanasia list in NYC. While she may be feeling scared and bewildered by recent events, she has begun to form connections with the female staff members, although it’s taking a bit more time with the male staff. Kryptonite possesses an independent spirit, taking pleasure in pursuing her own interests. However, she will greatly benefit from an experienced adopter who understands the need for her to undergo a decompression process. Her interactions with other dogs and cats remain unknown at this time.

Adoption Tom

Meet Tom! This beautiful boy was found with almost 100 other cats after a fire! He was a little confused when he first came to the rescue but opened up almost instantly once he was given treats and chin scratches! Tom is also a star of the cat playroom already rushing to greet every visitor by brushing up against them and jumping on their lap. Please give this ray of sunshine the forever home he deserves after all he has been through!

Adoption MooMoo

MooMoo was rescued last year after her owner passed away unfortunately. MooMoo was distraught that her owner wasn’t there anymore. She became untouchable…hissing and scratching. Rescuers were heartbroken. Fortunately, Lend-a-Paw was able to bring MooMoo to their facility where she was able to socialize with other cats and has made so much progress! She is no longer swatting at volunteers and allows folks to get relatively close to her without running away. MooMoo is looking for a foster who can help socialize her.

If you can provide these special sweethearts with the loving home they deserve, consider applying at lendapawinc.com/adoption or call (516) 405-0065 for more information today.

Adoption Delaware

When seven-year-old Delaware (Adoption #BF2527) was rescued from a frightening situation, he was the most troubled of his clowder. Fortunately for this stoic gentleman, he landed safely in the care of Animal League America’s compassionate team . He’s content to spend his days gazing out the window, studying the birds from his comfy perch. A home with no children, and adults with a heart for nurturing a fearful friend is what is needed to create a permanent safe space for him. He may not know it yet, but the best years are ahead for him when he finally joins a family worthy of him.

Adoption Jezzy

*Senior Alert* Nine-year-old Jezzy (Adoption #V34114) was welcomed back to North Shore Animal League America after a recent crisis. They’ve seen Jezzy conquer her fears before, and they’ll be with her again to ensure that she finds a loving and committed human with a peaceful home to make her feel safe. Older children will know instinctively how to nurture her spirit with some kindness and treats. Jezzy deserves to be peaceful for the rest of her life, so a home with no other pets will put her at ease.
