The most expansive local blizzard in a decade blanketed Long Island with more than two feet of snow starting overnight Sunday, Feb. 22, into Monday, Feb. 23, transforming Port Washington into a landscape of towering drifts and wind-swept streets.

Port Washington based photographer Roy Schneider captured photographs of the aftermath in the historic Nassau town.
