Rita Beckett (Woodson), 93, of Oyster Bay, died peacefully in her sleep on June 12, 2009. Wife of the late Acie. Mother of Geraldine Smals and Alan Beckett (Donna). Daughter of the late Lucien and Rosie Woodson. Grandmother of Latisha Beckett and Regina Beckett-Alston. Great-grandmother of Elijah Beckett and Kaleb Alston. Sister-in-law of Leonora Beckett-Johnson. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, family and friends. Arrangements were made by the Oyster Bay Funeral Home. Funeral service in the funeral home chapel. Interment private.
