Bravo to Tom Caro for speaking on behalf of many, many taxpayers of this district. If the board of education and administration were as thoughtful as he is on these issues perhaps our burdensome tax rates would not be so!
When I attended Salk and MacArthur I lived 1.9 miles from the schools and walked each way along with many other kids. My children all walked to and from their schools for 12 years without any incident that would affect their safety or well-being. For those who whine because the majority of taxpayers voted to change the requirements for busing perhaps it is time to suck it up and get on with your lives
