The Town of Oyster Bay Democrats officially announced their list of candidates slated to challenge Republicans in the November elections.
The Democratic candidates for positions in the Town of Oyster Bay are:
Keith Scalia of Massapequa against Supervisor John Venditto; Erin Reilley of Farmingdale, Matt Meng of East Norwich and Doug Watson of Bayville against current Councilmembers Joseph Pinto, Chris Coschignano and Elizabeth Faughnan; and John Capobianco of Farmingdale against Town Clerk Steve Labriola.
The candidates have years of experience serving their communities in jobs ranging from volunteer firefighter to board of education trustee to deputy mayor. Each candidate stated they are dedicated to improving their communities and making living in the Town of Oyster Bay more affordable, with “leaner and smarter government.”
According to their campaign announcement, “each of the Democratic candidates this year see daily what corruption has done to the Town of Oyster Bay. When elected to office, they will work to pay off the massive debt the Town has incurred under its Republican administration these last 11 years, to reduce the huge number of patronage jobs awarded by the town, to ease the burden of taxes on the working families of Oyster Bay, and to ensure sustainable growth in the community that will bring more jobs to the area and make it easier and more enjoyable to live in the Town of Oyster Bay.”
Election Day is Tuesday, Nov. 3.
